TAKE YOUR TEACHING TO

THE NEXT LEVEL WITH MENTORING.

Graduate Testimonial
I finished my 200-hour yoga teacher training in March 2020, right as the pandemic began. Overnight, any opportunity to start teaching in-person classes disappeared. Although my personal practice continued, the beginning of my journey as an instructor was put on hold. Having been a student at Open Doors in Duxbury for several years, I did not hesitate to sign up for a mentorship program with one of my favorite teachers as soon as I was able. The six-week program was the perfect kickstart to get me on track again. My mentor was incredibly supportive and put so much of her time and energy into helping me grow and develop as an instructor. I feel more confident and prepared as I start teaching classes and sharing my love of yoga. I cannot recommend this program enough! -Kristen Bruno

Anne Winter Mentor.png
ANNE WINTER, B.FA., M.Ed., VINYASA & CREATIVE SEQUENCING MENTOR

I have been teaching yoga for eleven years at Open Doors Yoga studios. I found Yoga in New York City while dancing on Broadway. It was a way to connect to my innerbliss. After years at Boston Ballet Company and dancing in shows, I found a movement that not only challenged me physically but also emotionally and spiritually.

Sequencing is like dancing. There should be a flow to movements inviting in playfulness and  experimentation. You ride the class on your breath and the union of mind, body and soul. I will offer a template for a well-balanced sequence, on which you will be able to create classes unique unto yourself.

Beverly
BEVERLY BIELEWICZ, RYT500, ERYT200, VINYASA & CREATIVE SEQUENCING MENTOR

As a mentor, I want to help you find the “why” and “how” in your teaching. You will develop confidence If you know why you are teaching and how the tools of the practice are used to create a well-rounded class. Together we will prepare a plan of study which will encompass:  inclusive language, verbal cueing, physical anatomy, energetic body (chakras), functional movement, creative and safe sequencing, breathe and meditation, the use of music and readings, and the business of yoga.

My teaching style is open-hearted, friendly, and accessible. I want each person who attends class to feel welcome and part of a community. I teach Vinyasa, Slow-Flow, Beginners, Spa, Restorative, and Yin. Who you are as a yoga instructor is an extension of who you are as a person. During the mentorship, you will explore and refine your own teaching intention and expression.

As certified instructors, it is vital to keep up-to-date on current yoga topics, industry news, and to have a personal developmental plan of study. I am continuing my education in meditation and functional movement through workshops and further training. As a student and life-long learner, I practice yoga in the studio, to live a better life outside the studio.

Early in my yoga career I worked with a mentor who helped me develop intelligence and confidence in my teaching. I would like to do the same for you through the Open Doors Mentorship Program.

LYN POMPEO, VINYASA & CREATIVE SEQUENCING MENTOR

I have been teaching vinyasa yoga since completing my 200 hr training at Open Doors in 2006. My style has progressed over the years as I have studied with different teachers but I have always been interested in bringing lightness and intention to an asana practice. Through the years I have stayed consistent with a strong breath-centered class and as a mentor would love to work with teachers on bringing or strengthening this aspect of their own class. I work with students to bring their your own self and style to a class, creating unique and safe sequences that are authentic and inspiring. Most of all I love to help inspire confidence to teach what is authentic to them and then to share this with their students.

Tami Duggan
TAMMY FRIEND, VINYASA & CREATIVE SEQUENCING MENTOR

Tammy began practicing hot power yoga in 2007 while trying to rehab a knee injury. She fell in love with the physical demands of the practice and the mental peace it brought to her my hectic life. Wanting to give back to the community that had given so much to her, she began teaching in 2011. She has been blessed to study with some truly amazing well-known teachers: Sadie Nardini, Seane Corn, Jason Crandell and Baron Baptiste. As well as some master teachers from her roots in Upstate NY. She completed her 200 hour training through the Baptiste Institute specializing in hot power yoga and personal growth.  In addition to teaching regular yoga classes, she also runs various workshops including Glowga, Yoga for Athletes and 40 Days To Personal Revolution.  40 Days, developed by Baron Baptiste, is a 6 week course on incorporating yoga, meditation, nutrition and personal reflection into your daily routine.  Tammy prides herself on creative and challenging yoga sequences with a class atmosphere of joy, support, presence and personal growth while using fun music and a multi-sensory savasana experience.  She has mentored several teachers and enjoys giving feedback to help teachers grow and find their full potential.
